Business Strategy & Planning
The growth target is clear in the room and absent from capacity, cash and the next hire.
A sequenced plan leadership can fund, staff and review.
Management Consultancy — Athens, Greece
Growth plans stall when structure, cash discipline and people decisions pull in different directions. Symvouleftiki aligns all three: we set the strategy, rebuild how the business operates, tighten financial control and shape the team that carries it. Built for owner-led and mid-market companies across Greece.
The firm
Growth targets get agreed in a meeting. Six months later the operating rhythm, the cash position and the hiring plan have not moved with them. Symvouleftiki is a single-member private company in Athens, organised so senior attention stays on that gap. We advise owner-led and mid-market companies on strategy, how the business is managed, financial control, and the people decisions that carry all three.
Engagements are scoped to a decision, a function, or a planning cycle. They end. We do not leave a strategy document with a team whose reporting lines, budget and roles were never part of the same conversation.
A plan the finance lead cannot fund, and the team cannot staff, is not a plan. It is a preference.
An owner-managed company whose next market, site or product line is being discussed without a capacity or cash view.
A management team in which decisions still queue at the founder, and the org chart does not describe how work moves.
A finance or people function that has outgrown memory: the month-end number arrives late, or hiring is ahead of the policy that should govern it.
The practice
Strategy, operating structure, financial control and people decisions fail in isolation. Each mandate below can stand alone. Most engagements touch two, because the constraint is rarely the one named in the first meeting.
The growth target is clear in the room and absent from capacity, cash and the next hire.
A sequenced plan leadership can fund, staff and review.
The org chart lists reporting lines. It does not show how work and decisions actually move.
A management rhythm that holds when the founder is not in the room.
The month closes late, and the number that arrives does not answer the decision in front of you.
Budget, cost and performance reporting built around the questions management asks.
Roles are filled faster than the rules that should govern hiring, pay and performance.
Recruitment, people management and a policy set managers can run.
The engagement
Every engagement moves through the same four phases. The depth of each phase depends on the mandate. What does not change is the order, and the fact that the work has an end.
We establish what is actually constraining the result: the decision that is stuck, the numbers around it, and who currently holds it.
You receive A written constraint, not a catalogue of observations.
We write the operating answer — plan, structure, budget logic or people framework — with a recommendation and the assumptions behind it.
You receive A design you can accept, amend or reject.
The first cycle runs inside the business: named owners, dates, and the meeting where it is reviewed. We stay through that cycle.
You receive The first live cycle, not a handbook.
A fixed look-back. What moved, what did not, and whether the engagement ends or a further phase is justified.
You receive A close, or a scoped next phase. Not an automatic continuation.
The brief
A short brief is enough. We read it against the four mandates. If the work fits, the reply names a first conversation. If it does not, we say so.
The office
The pin marks the registered seat. Write before you visit. The brief is how a first conversation starts.
